1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide, information generated when you use the Services, and information that we receive from platforms or providers you choose to connect. What we collect depends on the features you use.
Information you provide or connect
- Account and sign-in information, such as an account identifier, display name, and information received when you choose a third-party sign-in method.
- Optional account-connection information, such as a public wallet address and proof that you control it. We do not ask for or receive private keys or recovery phrases.
- Purchase and support information, such as purchase records, transaction status, your contact details, and messages or materials you send to support. App stores process payment-card details; we do not receive them.
Information generated when you use the Services
- Game and profile information, such as game progress, virtual items, match and leaderboard information, achievements, and information you choose to make visible to other players.
- Technical and security information, such as IP address, device and application information, operating system, network information, identifiers, timestamps, diagnostics, and information used to protect accounts and maintain fair play.
- Website information, such as basic server and security logs, the pages requested, and a language preference stored on your device. The website delivers its typefaces from Puck Racer files and may display a sanitized public social-media update from its own feed. The Puck Racer website does not currently use advertising or analytics cookies or pixels. It uses browser local storage only to remember your selected language; clearing your browser storage removes that preference.
2. How we use information
- provide, operate, maintain, and improve Puck Racer and its online features;
- create and secure accounts, save game progress, support multiplayer and leaderboards, process purchases, and respond to support requests;
- detect cheating, fraud, abuse, and security incidents; enforce our Terms; and protect players and the Services;
- comply with law, resolve disputes, and keep records required for accounting, consumer protection, and security; and
- show, measure, limit, and protect advertising when advertising is enabled.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we process information to perform our agreement with you, for our legitimate interests in operating and protecting Puck Racer, with your consent where required, and to comply with legal obligations or establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
3. How we share information
We disclose information only as needed to provide, support, and protect the Services, or as otherwise described in this Policy. The recipients may include:
- Service providers that support account services, online gameplay, hosting and cloud operations, customer support, security, website delivery, and purchase validation.
- Platform, sign-in, and wallet providers when you access Puck Racer through their platform or choose to connect an account through them.
- Other players, when information such as your display name, profile, gameplay, or leaderboard information is made visible through a game feature.
- Advertising and measurement partners, only when advertising is enabled and subject to the choices and controls required by applicable law.
- Authorities or other parties where we reasonably believe disclosure is required by law, legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of Puck Racer, players, or others.
- A successor or prospective successor in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of the business, subject to applicable law.
We do not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws may treat disclosures for personalized advertising as a “sale” or “sharing.” If we enable advertising that has this effect, we will provide the choices required by applicable law.
4. Advertising
Puck Racer may offer advertising, including rewarded advertising, in a future or enabled version of the game. In that case, advertising providers and their partners may process device and online identifiers, IP address, device information, approximate location derived from IP address, ad requests and interactions, and information used for measurement and fraud prevention. We will use any consent, opt-out, and device-level controls required by applicable law before or while those features operate. You may continue to receive non-personalized advertising after exercising a choice where the law permits it.
5. International transfers
Our providers may process data in countries other than where you live, including the United States. Where transfer laws apply, we use the transfer safeguards and contractual protections made available by the relevant provider and required for the service. You can contact us for more information about the safeguards relevant to your request.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to provide the Services, maintain security, resolve disputes, enforce our agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary based on the type of information and the reason it was collected. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, unless we are permitted or required to retain it.
You may request deletion of your Puck Racer account and associated personal data through our account-deletion page. Deleting an account may remove access to game progress, virtual items, purchases, and linked sign-in methods. We may retain limited information where permitted or required for legal, accounting, fraud-prevention, security, or dispute-resolution purposes.
7. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of your personal data; to withdraw consent; and to complain to a data-protection authority. For EEA and UK users, you may complain to the authority in your habitual residence, place of work, or place of the alleged infringement. To make a request, contact support@puckracer.com with the subject “Puck Racer privacy request.” We may ask for information needed to verify that the request concerns your account.
8. Children
Puck Racer is not directed to children who are below the age at which they can provide valid consent to data processing in their jurisdiction. Do not provide personal information if you do not meet the applicable age requirement without a parent or guardian’s authorization. We do not knowingly use advertising services with children’s data. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal data contrary to this policy.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep your device and account connections secure, and never share authentication codes, wallet recovery phrases, private keys, or purchase credentials with anyone claiming to be Puck Racer.
10. Changes and contact
We may update this policy when the service, our providers, or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here with a new effective date and, where required, give additional notice or obtain consent. For questions, visit our Contact page or write to support@puckracer.com.
